Eligibility Criteria for Cochin Shipyard Recruitment
- Educational Qualifications:
- Assistant Engineer (Mechanical):
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical works with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Assistant Engineer (Electrical):
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering or ITI with NAC
- Minimum of 7 years for diploma holders or 22 years for ITI holders with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Assistant Engineer (Electronics):
- Diploma in Electronics or Electronics & Communication Engineering
- Minimum of 7 years of post-qualification experience with at least 2 years in supervision.
- Assistant Engineer (Maintenance):
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or ITI with NAC
- Minimum of 7 years for diploma holders or 22 years for ITI holders in machinery/crane maintenance.
- Assistant Administrative Officer:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Commercial Practice/Computer Engineering
- Minimum of 7 years in office work with at least 2 years in a supervisory grade.
- Assistant Fire Officer:
- SSLC pass and Sub-Officer’s course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur
- Minimum of 7 years in firefighting.
- Assistant Engineer (Mechanical):
- Age Limit:
- Candidates must not exceed the age of 45 years as of October 30, 2024. There is a relaxation of age limits by:
- Up to 3 years for OBC candidates.
- Up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
Selection Process of Cochin Shipyard Recruitment
- An initial online test, which will consist of:
- Objective Type Questions: Maximum score of 40 Marks
- Descriptive Type Questions: Maximum score of 40 Marks
- Candidates who qualify will then be required to present their work experience through a PowerPoint presentation worth an additional 20 Marks.
