Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for these ITBP Constable positions, you must meet the following criteria:
Educational Qualification
- You must have passed the Class 10th examination from a recognized board in India.
Age Limit
- The minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 25 years (as of July 28, 2024). Relaxation in the upper age limit may be applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.
Physical Eligibility
- Male Candidates:
- Minimum height: 170 cm (5 ft. 7 in.)
- Chest (unexpanded): 80 cm (31.5 in.) minimum, expandable to 85 cm (33.5 in.)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): You must be able to run 1.6 km in 7 minutes and 30 seconds.
- Female Candidates:
- Minimum height: 157 cm (5 ft. 2 in.)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): You must be able to run 800 meters in 4 minutes and 45 seconds.
Nationality
- You must be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
Medical Fitness
- Candidate must be medically fit for ITBP service as per the prescribed medical standards.

ITBP Safai Karamchari and Other’s Selection Process
- Online Application: You will need to submit an online application form within the stipulated dates.
- Shortlisting: Based on the eligibility criteria, candidates will be shortlisted for the next stage.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Shortlisted candidates will be called for a PET to assess their physical fitness as per the prescribed standards.
- Departmental Trade Test: Candidates who qualify in the PET will appear for a practical test to assess their skills relevant to the specific post they applied for (Barbering, Sanitation, or Gardening).
- Medical Examination: Finally, medically fit candidates will be recommended for appointment.
