The Indian Navy meticulously selects candidates for the Cadet Entry Scheme based on stringent criteria. To be eligible to apply, you must fulfill the following requirements:
Educational Qualification:
- Passed 10+2 examination from a recognized board with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects.
- Candidates must have secured a minimum of 70% marks in aggregate and at least 60% marks in Physics and Mathematics individually.
- Specific branches within the Navy have additional educational requirements. For instance, for the Electrical branch, candidates must have Chemistry as an optional subject in 10+2 with a minimum of 60% marks.
Age Limit:
- Unmarried candidates born between January 2, 2005, and July 1, 2007 (inclusive) are eligible (age relaxation applicable for certain categories).
Nationality:
- You must be an Indian citizen.
Medical Standards:
- Candidates must meet the stringent medical standards laid down by the Indian Navy. This includes good physical and mental health, and fulfillment of specific visual acuity and other physical parameters.
Eye Sight:
- The minimum acceptable vision standard for unaided vision is 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in the other eye. Candidates can use corrective lenses to meet the required vision standards (6/6 in each eye). Color vision (CP) is mandatory.
